2012-till date Printing of Bubble Sheets

NIFT has automated the results compilation process for all ‘9’ of the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Punjab. The project started in early 2012 and NIFT has successfully completed eight cycles of Results compilation for Intermediate as well Matriculation Annual and Supplementary Examinations. Our work involved printing, scanning, data extraction through ICR/OMR, data entry, quality assurance, results compilation and reporting.

NIFT has provided an end-to-end solution from designing cover sheets ensuring accurate reading of Optical Mark Recognition (OMR), printing, dispatching of cover sheets to respective Boards, identifying and rectifying the issues in Enrollment, Old posting & Absentees data and correcting Answer keys.

NIFT helped to reduce almost 15% human error when compared to manually compiled results. We introduced modern reporting techniques giving Analytical reports of several types and Dash boards for quick reviews. Over 4 Million students per year have been processed each year.

Total value of this project is Rs.1.3 Billion for 2012, 2013 and 2014 combined.

NIFT was awarded two LOTs i.e. LOT1 (Districts Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat & Mandi Bahauddin) and LOT2 (Districts Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Jhelum & Attock) for Scanning and Data entry of existing, paper based records in the shape of Registers to make Land Record Management Information System (LRMIS) operational and starting service delivery through this e-system.

The largest phase of scanning and data entry of registers for all Districts was completed. After verification/operationalization of Mauzas/Land records, the project was completed in 2016. The Project was awarded in July 2011.

Over 19 Million Land Records have been data entered for 8 Districts.

Total value of the two lots of this project is around Rs.1.73 Billion.

NIFT provides revenue automation services through scanning and data entry. We help process utility bill stubs for reconciliation and settlement for SNGPL, PTCL, K-Electric & KWSB.

NIFT provides data entry services for data entry of approx. 5.0 million stubs each month. These services started 14 years ago and continue daily.

Total value of this project is Rs.86 Million per year.

NIFT’s wholly owned subsidiary, ISM executed one of the largest image archiving projects in the world. ISM image-archived and tagged 61.58 million national census forms to establish the first citizen data warehouse in Pakistan by NADRA.

ISM’s services in this contract included logistics, document preparation, image archiving, image tagging, installation provision of H/W and S/W, quality control etc. This specialized activity involved extraction of five snippets of varying resolution (3 colour and 2 grayscale) from each form and compression of data during the scanning operation. Image tagging was the second part of activity – Project completed in 2001.

Value of this Project was Rs.240 Million.

NADRA awarded the contract of Double Data Entry services to NIFT for the Benazir Income Support Program of Government of Pakistan in October 2009. NIFT completed Data Entry of 0.71 million BISP forms. Each form entered contained more than 110 alpha numeric fields. A heads up data entry mechanism followed.

Every milestone of the project was achieved within only 50 days, with more than 98.5 percent accuracy at its two facilities setup in Karachi and Islamabad. The project was completed with approx. 250 operators deployed at each site. A dedicated VPN link was established between NIFT and NADRA offices for online verification of applicant’s data.

NIFT was later awarded the contract for completing Double Data Entry of at least 3 million more BISP forms, over a period of one year in 2010. NIFT completed more than 4.57 million forms within ‘9’ months of the contract award. The data entry accuracy rate for the project was 100%.

NIFT has provided double data entry services for at least 300,000 Flood Affectee forms. NADRA complete the project under the umbrella of the National Disaster Relief Program (NDRP) of Pakistan.

NIFT has completed double data entry of 516,002 forms with accuracy rate of 100%.

NIFT has provided data entry services to undertake corrections of over 1.0 million Electoral Rolls forms. NADRA is doing the project for Election Commission of Pakistan. NIFT has provided indexing of over 50,000 forms on daily bases and the data entry of forms and registers in Urdu and Sindhi alphabets.

NADRA had awarded the contract for Scanning and Data Entry of corrected voters lists of Karachi in first quarter of this year. NIFT had established ‘5’ scanning centres at District offices of ECP namely Karachi South, East, West, Central and Malir. Similarly, a data entry facility was established in Islamabad for extraction of data from the scanned forms.

NIFT had scanned more than 1.3 million voters lists’ forms in a staggering 5 days, by working round the clock.

NIFT has started executing the digitization project for Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) in July 2012. The project includes scanning of employees and employer’s files comprising of 4.5 million pages and data entry/indexing of pages that will be retrieved in Open-KM Document Management System which will affect our financial assistance, get loan from our agencies, logbook loans unemployed swishcash.com.

Approximately 3 million pages have already been scanned and indexed.

NIFT was tasked with printing over 22 million electoral rolls pages for the Election Commission of Pakistan during the 2013 National & Provincial elections.

All three phases were completed on time. Printing and dispatching of all final voters lists was also completed.

ISM has completed image archiving/scanning and data entry of more than 21 million customer using service application forms of Mobilink. Similar activities have been done with over 6.23 million forms of Telenor during last 5 years, as a subcontractor to NCR Corporation.

Activities involved pre-processing, scanning and data entry of customer services application forms. Data Entry of almost 50 & 100 characters for Mobilink & Telenor respectively is done for each prepaid and postpaid form. Backlog archiving is completed for both projects.

Adamjee Insurance Company (Largest Insurance Company of Pakistan) awarded a digital archiving project of its Claims & Policies to ISM in June 2007.

ISM has digitized more than 60000 claims comprising of around 0.89 million pages during eight months. Data entered along with images of Claims and Policies was integrated in the Adamjee intranet and is used by Adamjee Insurance for its online insurance claim activity.

Each claim file was indexed with approx. 40 characters comprising of Date, Claim number, Policy number Insurance Type etc. Project completed in 2008.

National Refinery Limited, the largest refining complex of Pakistan, transformed its documents of its various departments onto digital/electronic medium along with the indexing of each file.

The estimated 1.35 million documents were scanned and indexed in a period of 8 months. This project took place in 2003-2004.

NIFT has designed and established Certificate Authority for issuance of digital signatures to authenticate and secure e-filing and electronic transactions. All facilitation is portal based and performed electronically.

This is the only Certificate Authority in Pakistan which is being used by the Federal Board of Revenue, State Bank of Pakistan, Karachi and Lahore Stock Exchanges, Mercantile Exchange of Pakistan, numerous banks, corporations and other institutions.

This facilitation was established in 2004 and continues to service institutions in Pakistan.

NIFT has designed and established web based portal for determining and disseminating live data for Financial Market Association of Pakistan (FMAP) This portal determines and provides the daily calculations of KIBOR (Karachi Inter Bank Offered Rate), KONIA (Karachi Interbank Overnight Swap Rate), PKRV (Pakistan Revaluation Rate) and SKUK (Government of Pakistan Islamic Bond).

The information is given news networks Reuters and Bloomberg, who distribute NIFT’s results to all stake holders. All work is done online in a secured manner. This facilitation was established in 2011.
