Haider Wahab (CEO)

Haider Wahab joins National Institutional Facilitation Technologies (NIFT) as the CEO. With over 25 years of experience in various executive management and leadership roles in Pakistan and the Middle East, Mr. Wahab specializes in leveraging platforms and developing new markets; strategic planning and bringing technology led innovation, transformation and value to the existing product line, market potential and various strategic business propositions. Mr. Wahab is a result driven business leader with a broad range of geographical and functional experience; with a strong expertise in payment eco-systems, technology solutions and implementation of multi-channel digital and technology led business process optimization and financial services models. His last assignment was with NCR Corporation as the Managing Director, Pakistan.During his tenure as MD, he strategically led the organization through its rapid expansion program and was instrumental in positioning NCR as the continued market leader over the last 8 years with the highest market share in Pakistan. Prior to taking over as the Managing Director, he has also successfully served NCR Pakistan as ‘Head of Financial Services’ and the ‘Country Services’ Head. With an Engineering Degree from Pakistan, Mr. Wahab has also served in various technology companies in senior management positions.

Syed Hassan Haider Rizvi (General Manager - Operations)

As General Manager at NIFT, Hassan brings over 26 years of experience in banking technology, Core Systems implementation, IT Operations and Project Management. He is well-versed in leading design, development and the delivery of complex projects and solutions. He is an active participant in planning, analyzing, and implementing solutions in his current role. Hassan’s focus at NIFT is on overall operations of the clearing business and the transformation of Automated Clearing House (ACH) to Electronic Clearing House (ECH) with includes Image Based Clearing System (IBCS) and Digital Cheque Initiatives. He also look after Digital Financial Services Operations and Products designing & development. His role with technology solutions for the company is fortified through a lengthy tenure with Bank of America (Pak), Union Bank Limited (Pak), Habib Bank Limited (Pak/Intl.) and Saudi Investment Bank (KSA) where he oversaw IT systems and applications. Hassan is a Commerce graduate along with various certifications in Computer Science & Software development as well as CISA, CGEIT and Prince2 certifications.

Syed Faraz Javed (General Manager - Digital Financial Services/ePay)

Mr. Syed Faraz Javed joins National Institutional Facilitation Technologies (NIFT) as General Manager – Digital Financial Services and is heading ePay. Before joining NIFT, he was working as CIO at NayaPay and looking after business partnerships, growth, and technology operations. He has also worked in key positions at Lakson Business Solutions, Cybernet, DataCheck, and Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited (CDC). He is an astute professional with over 22 years of work experience in the field of financial technologies, payment systems, business operations, software and IT management, information security, and risk management. Mr. Faraz specializes in establishing and growing business units, and departments and converting them into success stories. He has a proven record of developing and successfully implementing company-wide digital and business strategies for achieving business objectives and has successfully delivered mid to large-scale projects, especially in the space of payments and financial technologies, information technology, and information security. He has been a part of organizations in various executive management and leadership positions and played an instrumental role in their success. He has worked closely with the banks, FIs, regulators, govt. organizations, payment processors, international and local payment schemes and has established a strong network. He possesses valuable insights, keen analytical skills, and a team approach to implementing best practices to achieve business excellence. Adept at working in high-pressure environments with strict deadlines and multiple deliverables.

Khwaja Asif Karim Ahmad (Head of Risk & Compliance)

Khwaja Asif Karim Ahmad joins NIFT as Head of Risk & Compliance with 25+ years of experience primarily in Information Technology as well as Information Security, Risk and Compliance from leading ‘Wall St.’ Financial firms. He lived in the US for 17 years, bringing a versatile experience as part of portfolio. He is Master of Science (Finalist) - Computer Information Systems from The City University of New York (Brooklyn College), NY, USA. A few of the powerhouses he has worked for include GE, JPMorgan Chase, Marsh & McLennan, Instinet (formerly Thomson Reuters), Bank of New York Mellon Company. In Pakistan, previously, he has worked for CDC and PMEX. He is first in Pakistan to lead an organization to achieve Business Continuity Management certification BS 25999. His portfolio includes managing, establishing and Implementing, Information Security Management, Business Continuity Management, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Process & SOP Management, Head of Application Development, and IT Services & Strategic Planning. His professional expertise range from Executive Management & Governance, Corporate Compliance, SDLC, IT Strategy & Planning, IT Audit, Project & Program Management, both in the US and here locally. He was up until recently a Senior Consultant & Trainer – Cyber Security, Info. Sec. (ISMS), Business Continuity Planning (BCMS), Disaster Recovery, which included conducting independent IT Audit at a DFI and an Entertainment Industry. He is a recently certified ISO 22301 Business Continuity Lead Auditor and ISO 27001 Information Security Lead Auditor via PECB, Canada

Daniyal Alvi (CFO & CS)

Daniyal Alvi is a Chartered Accountant with more than 14 years of experience specializing in Financial Control & Planning, Digital Transformation, and Business Intelligence & Analytics areas in Digital Financial Services, Startups, Telecommunication and Shared Service Centers entities. Prior to joining NIFT, he has been working in Telenor Bank (Easypaisa) where he headed the Business Planning & Analytics department supporting the management and the shareholders in business strategy & exponential growth as well as management of funding requirements with the shareholders and investment banks. During his association with Telenor Bank, he successfully organized the integration of Easypaisa Mobile Financial Services business with the legacy Banking organization after its acquisition by Telenor Group and lead the Organizational Transformation projects with the Board to uplift the legacy organization into a modern digital banking entity. Before that he has worked as Head of Finance for establishing various Digital Financial Services entities in South East Asia with support from Telenor Group. His initial assignment in Telenor had been to establish a captive Shared Service Center for Telenor Group for Finance and Technology functions serving more than 10 OpCos in Europe and Asia while leading the Financial Control function for Telenor Pakistan through Shared Services model. Daniyal has started his professional career from KPMG Islamabad office and has worked in KPMG Saudi Arabia and KPMG UAE for a few years in Audit and Transaction Advisory departments.

Syed Haider Abbas joined National Institutional Facilitation Technologies (NIFT) as the Head of HR & Admin.With over 30 years of experience in various man-management and leadership roles in his career. Mr. Abbas brings in a proactive code of conduct in the organization and endeavours that his presence promotes Positivity and prevents Negativity. He is a result oriented leader with a broad range of functional experience related to a varied range of Decision making , Admin / HR / Security processes , Procurement and Regulatory implementation etc.

Sultan Ahmed Zaman (Head of Business Development)

Mr. Sultan Ahmed Zaman joins National Institutional Facilitation Technologies (NIFT) as Head of Business Development. Before joining NIFT, he was working as Associate Director at and looking after regional business targets, executing high growth strategies and negotiating new residential/commercial real estate projects. He was responsible for P&L, hiring and training realtors, maintaining leads conversion ratio, website analytics and traffic optimization on the site. He has an over 15 years successful track record of combining the tech savviness and business acumen in building the company's revenue streams, turning around operations and leading teams in the financial services, real estate, and transportation logistics arena.  He has a knack of working on new digital financial solutions geared towards solving un-bankable segments of the society, he has been leading regional wide sales and distribution teams in rolling out payments and collection modules leveraging mobile application/wallet, web portal and QR code. He has been instrumental in developing and pitching digital payment solutions to a wide variety of corporate sectors viz. Food, Apparel, Education, NGOs, Utility Companies. His contributions in successfully launching EHSAS (formerly Benazir Income Support Program – BISP) and disbursing billions to over 1 million beneficiaries was formally recognized by his employers. He played a pivotal role in the payment platform launching and building distribution network for both HBL Digital Financial Services & UBL Mobile Financial Services (Omni). He holds a MBA from a leading University and has completed various business and technical courses to supplement his knowledge and career progression”.
