Electronic-Image Based Clearing (IBCS)
IBCS essentially requires conversion of the physical cheque in an electronic form and the converted electronic form of document moves forward as an authentic document for processing including fate decision making. NIFT has been working along with SBP and PBA member banks to prepare processes and guidelines regarding the IBCS. All stakeholders understand that it is now time to leapfrog into this direction and bring changes through technological innovation by replacing the old process of financial instrument movement and handling by implementing Image Based Clearing.
eCheque
NIFT eCheque is the digital version of conventional paper cheques for Banking Customers. eCheque is the digital issuance, lodgment and clearing of an electronic cheque through Bank’s digital channel that carries all the paper cheque requirements. On top of all existing offering of paper cheque, an eCheque offers enhanced convenience and security since it will be digitally signed by Payer bank. After a verification process, the echeque may be added in the Electronic-Image Based Clearing System (IBCS) cheque clearing cycle for quicker clearing and settlement.

Citizen’s Database (VeriSys); NADRA – 2000 to 2001
NIFT’s wholly owned subsidiary, ISM executed one of the largest image archiving projects in the world. ISM image-archived and tagged 61.58 million national census forms to establish the first citizen data warehouse in Pakistan by NADRA.
Utility Payment Processing – 2001 till date
NIFT provides revenue automation services through scanning and data entry. We help process utility bill stubs for reconciliation and settlement for SNGPL, PTCL, K-Electric & KWSB.
BISE Automated Results Compilation Project – 2012 – Till Date Results Tabulation
NIFT has automated the results compilation process for all ‘9’ of the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Punjab. The project started in early 2012 and NIFT has successfully completed eight cycles of Results compilation for Intermediate as well Matriculation Annual and Supplementary Examinations. Our work involved printing, scanning, data extraction through ICR/OMR, data entry, quality assurance, results compilation and reporting.
